We were supposed to leave India for Malaysia that day but we couldn’t make it due to some unforeseen circumstances. The important even that we had to attend was clashing with our flight time, so they told us that our tickets will be extended. I didn’t know how to feel about it. I was excited to stay there longer but at the same time I missed home so much and wanted to be back so badly!
That aside, the important event that we had to attend that morning was the ASEAN-India Car Rally Flagdown Ceremony. It was important for all of us as it was the day where we get to see all the leaders from all over SEA region together in a place and one do not simply get a chance like that. Missing our flight and extending our tickets seemed like a great idea. We all felt very privileged to get the invitation to attend the ceremony. We saw India’s prime Minister Mr Manmohan Singh. His speech was very inspirational. Our very own Prime Minister and the First Lady were also there at the ceremony. It was a really short ceremony but it was quite fun to be an audience there despite the fact that we were sitting in an uncovered area and freezing our butts off! HAHA!

Friends from laos and Indonesia having a good time 🙂
Can you spot me? I bet you can’t cos Ms Alina blocked my face with her flag -_-
We were interviewed by a reporter from Harian Metro! hehe and came out in the papers a few days later 😛

After about 2 hours, we were back at the hotel and were told to have lunch and wait for them to announce the change of the tickets. Everyone was praying hard for the ticket to be extended as we wanted to enjoy one free day in India. We had lunch, lepak-ed in our rooms, I pranked my friends to amuse myself because I was really bored (Hi Yathes and Matrix)! Finally we were called to the lobby to get our tickets which was scheduled on the next day at 12.30pm. Wheeeee! I swear the first thing that came to my mind was nasi lemak!

We had the whole evening to ourselves. We were free to do whatever we wanted to BUT in the hotel compound. We wanted to go out and experience the streets of India but we got a strict NO for an answer because apparently India is not a safe place. hmmm…so we were just walking around the lobby, making more friends with the receptionists and waiters HAHA! It was kinda fun. It was about 12 am when I went back to my room and packed. Mixed feeling about leaving.
